I was wondering if I can use any ssd to replace the standard hd or do I have to use a specific one? I want to replace the 1tb with a 2tb ssd or bigger.

Yes, you can replace the standard HDD with 2gb ssd or higher, or lower if you want
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

On my Predator 17 G9 i installed the higher capacity storage mechanical drives. The Seagate back up plus 5tb for mechanical drives for storage, and you can install 1tb nvme ssd and 1tb regular m.2 ssd.

I installed 1tb Samsung 960evo NVME and 1050gb Crucial MX300 m.2 ssd on top of the 2 5tb mechanical drives.
