Device Admin Apps

I have installed the "F5 Access" app from the Google Play Store on my new Acer Chromebook 14 CB3-431 and when I attempt to make a connection I get an error telling me that the app needs to be a device level admin.  "Device Admin Activation Error: Device admin activation is required to connect to your company's internal network."

On my Google Pixel I have a section in settings > security called "device admin apps" and the "F5 Access" app is listed as an app that has device level admin permissions.

How would I grant device level admin permissions to the F5 Access app on my Acer Chromebook?  (I would like to do so without rooting as I am testing to see if these devices could be used more wide scale in our organization.)

Seems like if it only has root access permissions now, then you have to root to change its permissions to include user access as well. Am I missing something? Jack E/NJ

In my case, I found the err in my ways.  I had installed the app from the Google Play Store rather than the app with the same exact name from the Chrome OS store.  The difference is "works" versus "doesn't."
