Hello. I have had this issue with windows 7 before, after upgrading to window 10 it dissapeared for about a year and now started again. No matter how I make the computer go to sleep mode (close the lid, start->sleep mode, etc), the screen turns black but it seems like the computer stays on, because the ligths stay on (and also if I leave it like that, it charges out). After making it go to sleep, there's nothing I can do about it, except hard restart it. I've tried changing power settings and also some of the solutions posted online, but nothing worked so far.
Thanks for help in advance.

The symptoms you describe are typical of Haswell-ULT and using the wrong Intel Management Engine Interface driver with Windows 10.  Some people use the older (windows 7 or Windows 8.1) ME driver as a workaround for the sleep hang bug with Windows 10 (and Haswell-ULT). It's a known issue.  You can go to Device Manager>>System devices>>Intel Management Engine and rollback the driver or install older driver from link below.

    https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

If the older ME driver doesn't fix it, then my only other suggestion would be to check and see if you have the latest BIOS.

To determine if you Haswell-ULT, you can check with free HWINFO

To check if you have the latest BIOS, type msinfo32 in the Windows search bar.

You could just use hibernate instead of sleep, however, that doesn't always work for everyone as sometimes using the wrong ME driver can cause shutdown hangups in addition to sleep hangups.
