Specs:
- i5-8250U
- UHD 620
- Nvidia Mx150
- Latest bios (1.32)

On the Windows 10 16299.402 everything is fine with the latest intel driver (24.20.100.6025) or with the oem intel driver (23.20.16.4901), if i upgrade to the latest Windows 10 (17134.1) the system will have random freezes. Sometimes after 10 minutes, sometimes after 50 minutes.
I don't have any "tweak" on the windows 10 and i don't use any antivirus (just the defender) however i don't have viruses (checked with malwarebytes).

I have a friend with a Lenovo laptop with the same UHD 620 graphics card and everything is fine there.
I guess this E5-576G laptop need a BIOS update ASAP which will fix this issue because the 17134.1 update is coming on May 8.

    Hi,

does the unit freeze while accessing any certain applications..? Also, share us the CPU usage while the device freezes.

No, its freezing randomly. Sometimes when the Chrome is open, sometimes when the Pot Player open, sometimes when nothing open, just right away after the login.

I cant share the CPU usage, because after the screen will freeze, i can't do anything, just hard reboot and i already restore the 16299.402 build, but i had the same issue on 17133.1 build (which was cancelled by Microsoft)

Have you tried checking in safemode to check if the device is working fine. this would allow us to understand if its windows or 3rd party apps

I tried but its just the same. If i will uninstall the intel UHD 620 driver (and i wont install new) its looks fine, but with the windows standard driver the system is unusable. If i update the driver with windows update or manually, the system will have random freezes again.

So its something with the UHD 620 driver or bios (probably with the bios, because with the old driver i had the same issue, and the 1.32 bios update updated the intel vbios to 1051)

Ps: I dont know its help or not, but around 2011 i had something similar with the Hp Probook 4535s laptop. After i reported this to the HP they release a new bios update which fixed this problem. I guess that BIOS update was a vbios update

Yes, i already tried these things, and actually i already bought a new ram too, because i thought the memtest somehow just skipped the problem, but no, everything is the same on the spring update.

you can disable the update for some time to skip this freezing issue. Once, the new update is available it should resolve the issue

sir, good day, my acer e5-576g-59ab keep freezing this day after I updated my windows 10 version, and I'm ***** about it I plan to return my 1month old laptop hehe and get a ryzen 5 laptop, but i discovered something. I've try to update one of my drivers, then tadaaa! freezing is gone and i feel the i5 8250u 3.4ghz processor and the mx150 2gb working. what i did is i go to settings and go to system at the upper left, click the device manager. then update your intel hd graphicthen update your firmware, after firmware updated just sit in and relax then it will ask restart computer, restart your computer after installation is done,, relax if your laptop will multi boot. then when the windows starts up again.. tadaa!  your new laptop speed up and freezing is gone.

hit like or reply if i help you with your problem hehe
    god bless
