When gtx1050 is not active in the background my screen freezes for a second when i open applications

When I open an application while my nvidia gtx1050 runs in the background everything runs smooth in my laptop, but when there is no application that nvidia gtx1050 uses my laptop does weird. When I open an application my screen freezes for a second. For example when i open popcorntime witch uses nvidia gtx1050 and when that runs in the background and i open google chrome or settings-system everything runs smooth. But when i close popcorntime (my nvidia is not active anymore) when i open now google chrome or settings-system my screen freezes for a second.

 

Why?

I don't think there is a problem.  Seems like a normal delay when auto-switching between the video adapters. Jack E/NJ

While they working on a fix the best solution is a little program calld TrayPwrD3.

Its not the best solution cuz it drains the battery faster.

So i have to wait for a fix.

Thanks for the report. I'd surely wait for a fix too rather than drain the battery to hurry things up! I guess a one-second freeze might be considered a lot longer than a 'moment' to some. But in the grand scheme of things, it does not, a priori, seem to be a momentous issue.  Jack E/NJ

Well its not a very big problem. Yeah a second isn't long but it is anoying when you get that 1 second freeze while opening apps.
Its a very expensive machine. I bought this laptop a few weeks ago and for that much money that freeze makes it very anoying.
But for now with that litle program TrayPwrD3 Its gone ..
