Razer Kraken Pro mic issues

Very long ago my brother got this Razer Kraken Pro headset, it's not the "V2" btw, and he also got a key for Razer Surround Pro which is a software for pc right? And in that software, I can choose which headset I use, I selected the Razer Kraken Pro one. So, on his ps4 it works perfectly, without issues, good sound quality and everything. But when I use it on my pc, the mic does not work. I'm using a gaming notebook/laptop and not a computer. I have 2 inputs, one for the microphone and one for the headphone, but the headset has only 1 jack. If I put it in the headphones input, the sound works perfectly, but no mic. But if I put it in the mic input, then none of those work, nor mic and nor headphone. So, I tried changing my "default mic" in speaker settings to "Razer Surround Audio Controller" and tried again but it still didn't work, even after changing the mic in game's settings. I really don't care about the sound but I would appreciate it if someone could tell me how to fix the mic issue, even if the sound would not work, I can still use my ear pads for sound and the headset for mic or something. BTW I don't want to buy a headset splitter even if it would make it all easy, any help is appreciated

Neither of your laptop's jack is a combined jack. The mic ring on the Krak plug doesn't line up with the contact inside the mic jack. The sound rings on the plug do line up with the contacts inside the phone jack. Jack E/NJ

OK. The 1st hardest way would be to buy a combination jack, neatly drill a hole for it in the laptop case, and solder its mic & sound terminals to the laptop jack terminals using phone wire. The 2nd hardest way would be to make an adapter out of a mic plug if sound isn't important. The 3rd hardest way would be to neatly snip off the sound wire on the aforementioned headset splitter if sound isn't important. The 4th hardest, and thus easiest, way would be to use  the aforementioned headset splitter unmutilated. Jack E/NJ
