Hey guys,
I'm planning on buying CoD WW2 but I'm worried my Laptop might hit too high temperatures.
I've got the Acer Predator Helios 300 with 8gb RAM, a GTX 1060 6GB, and an I7 7700hq.
I've been playing CoD Bo3 recently and hit CPU temperatures that went to 98 Degrees Celsius at Max.
Will WW2 be more demanding and even make the CPU hotter?
I even tried using v-sync in bo3 but nothing seems to work.
It's pretty hot outside so that might cause These temperatures.
if anyone has the same Laptop and Plays or played CoD WW2 could you please tell me what temps you were hitting?

Thanks in advance

Marlon

undervolt your cpu using throttlestop, buy good cooling pad or change stock thermal paste(best option)

If you're worried that overheating might damage your machine, you're right at a longer run. COD WW2 is demanding, however as Asad said, if you can get the machine and improve the condition of the thermal paste, you'll massive temperature differences. Take your time and notice. Many things including weather has an impact on it as I am from a hot country and 80 is normal for me.

Also there are many threads in reference to overheating. My suggestion is to look this or similar threads like these for ideas: https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/comment/470347

I know that WW2 is demanding, but more or less than bo3? Because bo3 is possible to Play but im not sure about ww2...I dont really wanna replace thermal paste 'cause i dont know anything about that. What Program do you recommend for undervolting? I use throttle stop at -0.115 Offset core voltage and itsnot changing too much, just like 2 degrees at max.

changing thermal paste is not that hard...if the laptop has warranty then you can send it to acer...or you can buy a cooling pad for better cooling

Angle the rear of the notebook up.  Try disabling Turbo with ThrottleStop and see the impact on FPS if any, should help to reduce temperature significantly, or just reduce Turbo via ThrottleStop.  No point in the CPU running unrestrained if all that's going to happen it for it to thermally throttle, personally I'd just disable Turbo.  You can also set up an "Alarm" with ThrottleStop so that once the CPU hits a specified temperature ThrottleStop will automatically switch profiles (user configured) to allow the CPU to cool off faster.

Try limiting the FPS as the GPU & CPU share the same cooling system.  Ambient temperature plays it's part as few degrees increase can impact the notebooks cooling system significantly.  Acer will only replace the stock paste with the same, being designed for longevity over performance, nor is a replacement guaranteed to perform any better.

Hi. I've played CoD WW2 on my laptop with lesser specs than yours (G3-572: 8GB RAM and 4GB graphics Nvidia 1050Ti, core i5 7th gen) with no lag and temperatures never over 85C. 98C is certainly not normal. Did you try maxing out your fan speeds on Predator Sense along with some undervolting solutions (Intel XTU or Throttlestop)? Also, make  sure your room temps are down.
