There’s a outlook pst file that I could open in Acer V5-551-8401 16" Notebook on Windows 8. However, after the Windows 10 update, I suddenly can’t open it anymore. It gives the following message, ‘Sorry. Unknown error occurred’.
I googled for this, i get many solutions for all other formats except pst files issue.
TY for you time and attention

I guess the problem is because the .pst is corrupted, however if you don't want to lose the data, I highly recommend using the inbox repair tool. That will fix the issue most of the times. To run the inbox repair tool, simply https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/2534513/how-to-find-and-run-the-inbox-repair-tool-in-outlook and then download it and run it.

However, if you just want to use Outlook, then try open the run command and type outlook /safe to open it without any addons. If not, open Control Panel and type Mail. Then open Control Panel and then type Mail. Then you've a Data Files button that you press and it will let you change and locate your .pst files and change it.

Good luck, do let me know if you need further help!

    Hi,

Please follow the below mentioned steps to take care of this issue.

    2. Click Show Profiles. Select the Outlook profile that experiences the issue, and then click Properties.
    3. Click Data files.
