Hey everyone! I just got my Helios 300 from amazon and I have yet to take apart the hard drive expansion door to see if the caddy and sata cable is there but I already ordered a hybrid drive to drop in there when I get it. Once I'm done with this post I will go ahead and see if mine came with the hardware but just incase it didn't, I have already put my information in for a free one to be shipped to me. I mostly got this computer because I'm taking 4 online classes for college and my 8 year old Sony Vaio is just not cutting it anymore (slow load times, noisy, heavy) and it's not exactly the laptop I want to be hauling around. Anyway, I'm super excited as I can now play games that were in my Steam account! But in all seriousness I'm just super happy I can browse the internet and complete my homework assignments WITHOUT having to do them on my phone! Hopefully this laptop lasts me at least until the year is over so next year I can upgrade again for a more intense gaming laptop and then this one will be for school only and my next one will be for gaming/files. I will keep you guys updated the longer I have this laptop but so far I have upgraded it to Windows 10 Pro with my Microsoft Insider product key and all updates are complete. This Friday I should be receiving my 1TB hybrid drive (enough space for me) so I'll go ahead and install that.

Questions:

Are there any other updates I need to do other than the windows updates that pop up automatically?

Does anybody run a cooling pad and if so which one?
Why are you running a cooling pad ?(if applicable)
What mouse is everybody using?
What SSD or HDD are you running?
What bag or backpack are you carrying your predator in?

Don't need a cooling pad when placed on a hard surface to promote air circulation. Cheapest mouse I can find, currently a dongled m325, an $8 Target special. SSD is a Newegg special too, don't remember which. A ShopRite grocery bag, free with a $5 purchase and my PricePlus card. Good luck with yours. Jack E/NJ

A canvas grocery bag with a folded section of HomeDepot aluminized bubble wrap. Jack E/NJ
