Recently, I started noticing that the touchscreen on my laptop wasn't working occasionally, usually coinciding with a Windows Update being available and requiring a restart. Usually the touchscreen works after this restart, and everything is fine. This happened again on the 12th or 13th, so I restarted the computer to do some Windows Update. However, this time, the touchscreen still didn't work, and I was still given the option to "Update and Restart". I figured the update must have failed, so I checked the Windows Update history, but none of the updates said they had failed, and it said another update was installing. I waited for this to finish, and then tried again, only for the same exact thing to happen. Eventually, there were no more updates, but the touchscreen still failed to work after restarting. I've tried a lot of different things involving the Device Manager trying to uninstall and reinstall touch screen drivers, but nothing has worked so far.

Is there something I'm missing?
