Hi I have an Acer Aspire 5250-0670:
  • AMD Dual-Core Processor E350
  • AMD Radeon HD 6310
  • 3GB DDR3 RAM (two slots 2Gb + 1 Gb)
... and I want to upgrade its RAM memory. Googling I got that the maximum RAM I can install is 2x4 Gb cards. Yet when in Ubuntu I ran:
$ sudo dmidecode -t 16
Handle 0x0024,
DMI type 16, 23 bytes
Physical Memory Array
Location: System Board Or Motherboard
    Use: System Memory
    Error Correction Type: None
    Maximum Capacity: 3 GB
    Error Information Handle: No Error
    Number Of Devices: 2
¿Does this mean the system will not support any more RAM than I already have? I don't want to buy the new cards and then realize my computer can't use them.

Thanks in advance!
