Hello everyone,

I have a problem with my laptop not being able to detect my battery. As far as I can tell the battery is working without any problems and I am able to use the laptop without it being plugged in.

I've tried the device manager solution and the battery restart solution and neither have helped.

Does anyone know any other method that I can try to use to make the battery become visible again?

Thanks in advance!

Well, im not sure if you have tried to uninstall the battery drivers. If yes please ignore and if No please follow the steps below.

Access device manager by keeping charger plugged in. Uninstall the battery drivers and restart the unit. If this does not resolve the issue please try the below steps.

Perform power drain > unplug all the cables and flip the unit upside down. find for battery reset pin hole. use paperclip, insert it in to the pinhole and hold it for 30-40 sec.

Power on the unit to see if there is any change. if no then try BIOS defaults.

While powering on the unit keep pressing F2 button to access BIOS. then press F9 and click on ok to set the BIOS to its default configuration settings. then press F10 and hit enter to confirm. this should resolve the issue

Note: Please do not make any other changes in the BIOS screen

Hi!! Wanted to have a clear picture regarding your laptop issue.

If I am not wrong, there is no battery icon on the bottom right corner of your laptop. If it is correct, I request you to please provide the laptop exact model # and Bios version .

To get BIOS version. restart your computer and tap F2 key rapidly. Carefully watch as your computer first starts and note the BIOS version that's shown on screen.

At the bottom right corner of my laptop there's an icon that No battery is detected.

My laptop is an Aspire V5-591G with the serial number NXG66EX0506411DA567600 and my BIOS version is v1.15.

    Thanks for helping out!
