Broken left hinge leading to cracked screen. Aspire V5

Hey guys! Guess what I have a problem with that no one else ever has ever had a problem with? Oh, everyone else's left side screen hinges have all blown out leading to clipping the screen and causing severe cracking? It's disabling the touch screen and leading to complete and utter un-usability? Oh my god, me too!

This is so clearly a MASSIVE design fault on behalf of Acer. Every 4th-5th question on this board is about the exact same issue. I'm sorry Acer, but I'm really not here to accept the generic "please send your serial number through" and "all laptop computers have hinge problems" answer. You can cleary see this is a direct and specific manufacturing issue with a number of your models and you need to take responsibility for it.

I guess i need to make this a question so.. How many other broken left hinge friends do I have out there? Anyone actually manage to get this fixed without jumping through ridiculous amounts of customer service red tape?
