Hi everybody. I am trying to connect my laptop to an external monitor and use it as a "nornal" workstation, w/ the built-in keyboard and wireless mouse.

But, as soon a I flip my laptop, the mechanical keyboard turns off. This is not a function of the tablet mode as activated by windows. I can put my laptop in tablet mode and still keep my keyboard but, if i flip the laptop and keep the desktop mode manually the keyboard will switch off.

Does anyone know how to solve this. Preferably in a way where a can switch the kyeboard onn and off dependeing on my needs.

My model is Aspire R3-131T and i run a manually installed and up-to date version of Windows 10.

Thanks for your help.

You'll have to use an external keyboard, as the laptop's own keyboard is hardware-locked while in tablet mode.
