Hello, guys.
I've been using Acer Predator Helios 300. When I play games everything is just fine until I detach the laptop from charging. So the problems is without charging I see FPS drops from 60-70 to 20-25. Who knows how to fix it?

Unfortunately, this can't ne fixed and it is isn't a defect with the machine, it is just how the laptop is designed to work.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

So is it OK to be playing with the battery charger plugged in?

Doesn't it drain its basic battery level?

Playing while the laptop is plugged in wears the battery the same way as discharging the battery and then charging it again.

You can fix this problem by turning the battery boost off in nvidia geforce Experience(Install if don't have it)

Disabling battery boost doesn't help at all, the laptop is deisgned to to not utilize all the performce when not plugged in.

    Thats not entirely true.

Battery boost caps fps at 30.

Disabling will at least allow for a higher fps at a lower graphic setting.

You will NOT however have the same performance as when your plugged in due to nvidia powermizer.

This is also not entirely true.

There are methods available to lower power draw to allow battery to not be used while plugged in.

Example: undervolting cpu & undervolting gpu and capping gpu mhz at 1721 for example via MSI at the base 800mV power draw results in no I discharge while plugged in.

What I meant is that disabling battery boost won't make the GPU work at 100% performance when the device is not plugged in.

I am talking about the battery wear, not the discharging that occurs even when the laptop is plugged in. Battery wear increases with every charge/discharge. Letting the battery discharge fully and then recharge will cause the same amount of wear as when you have the laptop constantly plugged in, as in this case the charge/discharge cycles will be much shorter.

    Yes. Those things are true.

I just saw the OP saying his fps wouldn't reach beyond 30 fps.

Geforce experience is actually quite useful for battery usage using the optimize game feature while on battery .
