I travely about 400km to and fro to purchased acer aspire laptop from a dealer in Nigeria and the laptop shut off suddenly and never came on again barely two months after purchase. Being confident of the warranty, I travelled travelled back to the dealer with the dead laptop with the hope that I will either get it fixed right away or get it replaced. i was hugely disappointed on getting there to learn that it will take up to two weeks before they can fix the laptop and there's no option of replacement. I was told the hard disk got bad, what could have caused the hard disk of a new laptop to go bad is what I do not know. That was on February 24 this year. Fast forward to now and I'm still yet to get any news of my laptop from the dealer. What I have lost in terms of money due to unavailability of this laptop is something I'm yet to calculate. Please what else do I need to do? How long will it take Acer and her dealer to replace a bad harddisk?

I feel terribly sorry for your situation but it makes me think that this story involves the dealer being a scammer and not an authorized Acer dealer. Anyone can buy a product and sell it but if you saw an actual Acer store selling you a malfunctioned Laptop in Nigeria, I don't think so. Acer's list of supported countries can be found here m8. I might be wrong as well :-1: so perhaps provide me with more information so we can involve some Acer people in this.

Attached here is the purchase invoice and acknowledgement slip when I returned it to the dealer. Hope these will suffice

I've forwarded this thread to the forum's active moderator Manny. Please be patient and they'll see if anything can be done at all. It is a costly mistake but let's be optimistic m8.
