Hi Folks

I have an SP515-51GN Acer spin 5. It came with the Active Pen. How do I customise the two buttons on the Pen please?  I recall I had a similar issue with the HP spectre pen and that there was a specific programme that you could use to customise it rather than the windows ink settings in the control panel. I have looked and cannot find a similar programme to the one the HP had. The Acer replaced the HP BTW, which got sent back with it's tail between it's legs because it couldn't do simple things like, stay connected to our wifi!

Thanks

Jo

Ok so I have extracted the files and installed, but that seems only to allow me to configure the buttons to launch applications. I would like to configure one of the buttons to have the "alt" function. How do I do this?

There are two side buttons that are preconfigured, one is to Launch Acer Hover access and the other for erase function.

Thanks, are you saying that one is not able to reconfigure the buttons for specific uses in e.g. photoshop? If so this seems pretty poor, since it was clear that I was able to do this with the HP!

If you can download it, no harm in trying the HP driver to see what happens. :) Jack E/NJ

Same problem. One button works as eraser in photoshop, other does nothing that I can see.
No option to map any buttons in windows ink.
Acer hover app only lets you launch other programs (useless).
I need to assign ALT to one of the buttons (like every stylus photoshop user on earth does...)

@johnkimjohnkim1234 What are the file extensions? @Charlescellist Sorry, I haven't seen much activity on improving things since these posts in the ideas section https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/483307/acer-hover-access-update   Main reason that I can decipher is that Win10 is too much of a moving experimental target quite unlike all previous Windows versions. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13853/windows-lifecycle-fact-sheet  Which is the main reason why my Win10 machine is now running a Linux GUI. And my others are still Win7 & 8.1 Jack E/NJ

I have a acer sp111 32 and the pen that by the list works with this tablet. Both pretty good value.   On the apps that are given it seems to have pretty good sensitivity.  I am poor engineer and just have a UGEE touch monitor an pen that I work on Blender3d and GIMP.  I am not a real artist.  I have been trying to also figure out how to map the buttons on my acer active pen and I thought I had found it but, maybe i was mistaken.  I don't think acer realizes that they would get more sales if they helped us to:
    1) use software like blender with the pens able to set the functions of each button and have sensitivity.
    2) help students trying to learn graphic arts by having a good platform that wasn't too expensive.  Blender3d and GIMP are both free.

The autodesk app that is free works pretty good with the pen.  It maps well to one button (erase on bottom button)
In UGEE like Wacom there is a calibration, sensitivity and button tool.  Launches but you have to have tablet in the system tray for the UGEE to work.  Not sure if this will help my tablet.  Funny thing is when I got my UGEE tablet the people in China were very helpful at UGEE and worked hard (after a big windows update) to get my tablet monitor from UGEE to work.  Wish I had the same help with Acer.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give.
