Dear Acer,

Within the first two weeks of buying my Acer Aspire A715-71G-51RX i've had these terrible crackling sounds when my sound is on. For now, I was able to see past that irritation because I really needed a good laptop (this one was expenssive too) for university. But recently (last couple of days) the crackling sound has become an issue. Everytime I start my laptop, the crackling sound starts again. This sometimes stops for a while, but then comes up again. I would hate to send it back because I have got all of my documents on it. Also, I really don't have a spare laptop that I can use for the time being. That is why I am coming to you, to see if you can help me.

Kind regards,
RCarelse1

The audio on my aspire 5 a515-51g starts crackling every now and then too. It seems to go away when i put the laptop to sleep and wake it up again.

Your laptop may have an issue with its audio drivers, try uninstalling your audio drivers and restarting the laptop.

Windows will either install something to replace them for you or you can re-install them yourself.

Sorry there are no images for this one but a quick search will produce a guide with pictures if you need them.

A really garbage band-aid quick-fix might be just muting the laptop and/or disabling the audio driver but that's not something i've tested.
