Anyone else have something like this (see photo)? I havent noticed it when I bought it until now.. and once I've seen it I now can't un-see it.
Looks like someone at the plant took a dremel to it. Keyboard and laptop works well, I'm enjoying the AMD processor, but that key is a bit of a bummer right now.

On a side note, anyone figured out how to increase dedicated video memory from 256 to 512/1024? BIOS doesnt seem to have an option.

So sorry if you are not asking bout this, but if you are asking about the like on the J key, it is for Visually Impaired. Same is seen on all the phones as well that uses buttons. This is the centre of the keyboard and it has to be there for them to figure out where they are on the keyboard. If you are asking about any other key, let us know!
    BElieve in YOUrself.

No, I'm referring to the damaged looking part to the left of the "K" key, in between the "J" and "K" keys. The bezel, if you will.

Acer says that I could send it the laptop for "repair", but that's all they can do. What a waste... I would have at least expected a bit of a discount on the machine.

I *think" I see a slight irregularity in the bezel relief for the K-key. If at the mfr I'd look for a chip in the stamping die but looks like within at +/- .030 tolerance.

Yea, it looks like either someone took a dremel to it, or a piece broke off irregularly during manufacturing.
