I bought an ACER Aspire ES-15 today. After taking all afternoon to complete the Windows 10 updates after starting the computer for the first time, and rebooting to install all updates, the CPU  is running at nearly 100% and I have not yet added any programs or downloads! Why?? I got a new computer because I had memory problems with my last one!

Computer is just updating, allow It to finish and everything will be fine.  Aspire ES-15 is not a very powerful notebook, so a little patience during major updates may be required.

has completed updates and still running at full capacity. When I open Chrome, it tells me in Task Manager that there are 3 Chrome apps running but I only have one window running.

Windows/tabs do not equal processes. Chrome is made with parallel processes, where each engine runs on its on thread so if one crashes, it may not crash the whole browser. Such as flash player, chromium engine, etc.

Plus, it is not abnormal for Facebook games to be resource hungry because they are very poorly optimized.

Added: You posted this in the wrong thread. Besides that, you laptop only has a dual core i3, so it is not surprising your laptop runs under full load a lot.
