i have an Acer aspire 5532 how do i tell if my front SD card reader is working/installed???cause when i put cards in nothing happens/they don't show up?how do i tell if my front SD card reader is working/installed???cause when i put cards in nothing happens/they don't show up?i need to know how to see if my front SD card reader is working.

how do i find/locate my usb ports,card readers,& similar?

>Swap your existing card with another that is known to work. This is to rule out the memory card that is not being detected.

>An out of date or corrupt memory card reader driver, also known as a Chipset Driver, can cause it too not detect the memory cards.

>Look in device manager under disk drives your reader(s) should appear there, click on the little box +- they should appear. If there is a yellow asterisk or question mark showing, there is an issue. There should be an option to update driver, you could give that a try. It could be several things but that is the easiest thing to check first.

Press the ‘Windows + W’ key on the keyboard.

Type troubleshooting in the search box and then press Enter.
