I want to buy an Acer Aspire 5 A517-51G in France. Will adding a M.2 SSD void the warranty?

This model comes with a i5-8250u, 8GB DDR4 RAM, NVIDIA MX150, 17.3" IPS Display and a 1TB HDD. So, I want to add an SSD into the mix. From what I've seen online (and please correct me if I'm wrong), I'm pretty sure on the backside it only has an access to the SATA 3 pocket which is already in use by the HDD. The M.2 slot that would accomodate a SSD is on the inside, probably needing to remove all the backside in order to access it. Will doing this void the warranty?

Also out of curiosity, the 8GB of RAM is made of what? How many slots are in total ? Integrated in the motherboard? 1x8GB 2x4GB?

    Hi @ Dindrtahl

You can upgrade the memory and hard disk. The warranty would only void if you break something while installing it, which is extremely unlikely to happen.
You can check with Acer store in France for more details on internal specification. Acer may use different configurations in different regions. http://store.acer.com/index.html

This model has 4G DDR4 onboard memory.
This model has one DIMM socket that supports 2G/4G/8G/16G with maximum memory size 20GB.
    Supports DDR4 SO-DIMM with speed 1866 / 2133, 1.2V,  260-pin DDR4 modules

Thank you! I checked the Acer store in France, didn't get any additional details on the configuration, just the basic ones. As a follow up question, now that I've looked around for M.2 SSDs I see that I have to pay attention if the slot available is SATA III or a PCIe 3.0 x4 (NVMe). I can't find this info anywhere...I sent a message to Acer, but I don't know if they'll respond, the form I filled out was mostly for order help/info, and the more technical questions first needed the product ID.
