Hello - I just got a GN246HL monitor with Dual Link DVI and HDMI 1.4 connections (plus VGA).  My MSI PC only has Display Port and HDMI connections.  Does anyone know if or how I can get 144hz refresh rate from this set up ?  Acer tells me I can't do it with an adapter.  Thank you.

From what I understand you need to use the Dual Link DVI to get 144Hz support. It sounds like your laptop doesn't do that. :(

Hello ... billsey.  You are right and in fact, DVI to DVI is the only way to get 144Hz from this monitor and my MSI (desktop) doesn't have DVI.  It would be so helpful if the monitor manufacturers would put that information on the box.  Anyway, no worries.  I have since returned the Acer and reinvested my money in a new Samsung CFG70.  Right out of the box, I now have my 144Hz and more - I'm happy.  Anyway, thanks for your input.
