Due to my E5 1 yr warranty being expired, my Hynix SC300 SSD m.2 has a 3 year warranty per the supplier itself.

Per Hynix

"Three-year LimiTed WarranTy
A three(3) year limited warranty is provided to customers who have purchased this product. for products that are replaced within the 5-year warranty period, the remaining warranty period from the original date of purchase will apply."

Unfortunately with the multiple errors/failures on the drive, Acer won't lift a finger and the supplier directs me to contact my OEM.

GL to anyone else with this problem and GL if you get your SSD replaced under warranty.

If the Hynix SC300 m2 SSD came as an integral part of the system, your warranty for it expired with the laptop.

If you bought it yourself and added it, your warranty is with the retailer for the first year (2 years in EU). It may well be they direct you to the manufacturer; where you would have the warranty you were entitled to at point of purchase.

The OEM (Hynix) are correct if the first instance applies; Acer basically buy them cheap and forego any additional warranty. Or Hynix sell them cheap on the understanding that there is no warranty between the companies. Acer won't help if you are out of warranty (other than an OOW repair) and Hynix have no obligation, which is why they are referring you to Acer.
