Hello, everyone!
I have a question regarding my Acer Aspire ES1-533 and any help is much appreciated. I'm currently in the of trying to find and purchase recovery material for it so that I can restore it to basic settings. I'm having a bit of an issue with the results that appear on the Acer store. After I entered my SNID code , I was only given the Acer Aspire eRecovery Thumb Drive as the only option to buy to restore my laptop, but, it says that it's only "available for systems without the optical drives. " My laptop has an optical drive so I'm unsure if I should get it? Are there any other alternatives ?

The thumb drive should work. But you should first try the ALT+F10 coldboot recovery method if you haven't done so already. Shut your machine completely off. Then turn it on again and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key. If the hidden ACER recovery partition on your hard drive is still intact, you should see a recovery screen with a menu to troubleshoot and re-set  the system to a  factory-fresh state. Jack E/NJ
