Switch Alpha 12 with external monitor

Hi.

I have had the Acer Switch Alpha 12 a while now and happy so far.
I have now come across this problem when hooking it up to an external monitor. Via USB-C to HDMI.

If I choose, extend displays, everything works fine.
In my case, I would prefer if it would only show the external monitor when it's hooked-up. Unfortunately, this is not working.

When I choose, show only 2nd monitor, the external monitor freezes. It shows picture, but just a still. (Not black.)

I tried to go around this by choosing to duplicate the monitors, and close the keyboard so the imaging of the Switch12 is not there to distract me, but this does not work either.
Duplicating works, as long as I leave the keyboard open. But when I close it (And yes, I’ve selected ‘do nothing’ when ‘the lid’ is closed.) the external monitor also freezes and only gives a still picture. (Not black.)

Is there any way around this?

Thanks,

Maaike

Have you tried turning off the Switch screen with the Fn+F5 or Fn+F6 toggle key combos? Jack E/NJ
