What software do you use to find the RAM's frequency(you can send a screenshot). DDR means double data rate, so 800MHz x2=1600MHz - nothing is wrong with the BIOS and your RAM is working at the rated speed.

Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

The BIOS is very limited and the only way to unlock these options is to mod the BIOS. Here isn't the right place to ask about bios modding, there are many other communities that deal with these things.

The RAM in your laptop works at the rated speeds, it isn't slowed down in any way in any aspect(frequency(data rate), latency etc.).
