This line comes on everywhere? I mean even during the computer startup when it's loading Windows, then the problem might be on the screen itself. If the screen comes only after your Windows loads, try updating yoru graphics card driver m8.
    BElieve in YOUrself.

    Hi @Jcynthiawagner

Please perform the belowm mentioned steps to check if it is software or may be a hardware problem.

    > Press and hold the Power Button for 5 seconds to turn your computer completely off. Power on the system. As soon as the first logo screen appears, immediately press the F2 key to enter the BIOS.
if you notice the vertical lines are still appearing while you entered the BIOS, it means the problem is related to the hardware. If you see no vertical lines in BIOS, it shows that it is a software issue.

    > Next confirm the motherboard or video chipset as being the source of the problem by connecting the laptop to an external monitor or TV. If the external display is normal, no vertical lines, the motherboard and video chipset are functioning normally. If the external display has the same problem, you may have to replace the video card or motherboard.
