I have a G9-593, bought last June. Last week I went on a 1 week vacation left my laptop at the table. When I came back, I found out that preda was inhabited by ants. I thought it was just a few so I initally googled how to get rid of ants in a laptop (found one weirdly effective way to place the laptop atop a container then have water at the bottom). Then a few days went by they still kept coming out of the laptop, like a lot around a few hundred maybe? They come out when the laptop gets hot or something. Finally got annoyed when they kept bitting me everytime I play. So I opted to open him up and see how many were still left inside (I live around 4 hours from the main city so going to the service center is not really something I initially thought of). Got into youtube guides on how to open his back. Lo and behold, I saw about a thousand eggs scattered accross the laptop. I took out as much as I could (about 80%?). There were still a lot left under the thermal pads beside the fans, which I wasnt really too keen on tampering. My question is can I bring mylaptop for Acer to remove the remaining ones? It takes me a whole day trip just to reach the main city where the service center is.

Well, as those ants need a warm place to stay, they take residence inside electronics. This is not with just laptops, we all remember the case where cockroaches get into PS4s few years ago. The logic is simple, just keep your laptop out of reach for these insects. Apply few repellents nearby your laptop and if possible, carry them inside a bag. They will surely clean it up the Acer service Center but also I am not sure if this will void your warranty. My friend's PS4 warranty was denied because the ants has damaged the internal wiring. If your laptop is working, then you should consider yourself lucky before you start damaging it more.
    BElieve in YOUrself.
