I have had a similar issue happen to me on my desktop. It was because a file was corrupted/unreadable. I have not been able to find a way around it either.

Is that a purchased game or a bootlegged?

Yes @Skelomorph is right you have to redownload the file again maybe some of its files are corrupted due to some interference.

Thanks. I have another test. It drops from 80+MB/s to 710KB/s, and stay below 800KB/s.

Thanks. It is ISO file and just for test.  I copied from same source to c:\.

    I copied a MKV file to d:\

    Should be hard disk failure?

Try performing a full format (uncheck quick format, will take awhile). If it continues then yes the drive is bad.
