Hi, Im trying to fix my daughters acer 470p Touch. She upgraded from in7 to 8 then 8.1

The pen and touch is in devices but unable to calibrate the touchscreen...there is no HID device for touchscreen.
I did a restore and it is now running Windows 8.

Do I need drivers?  Acer want to charge me for a hardware repair!
cheers Foxy

Well, it might be a driver issue indeed. If your Touchscreen worked on 7 and it did not work on 8.1 then the problem is associated with drivers missing on Windows 8.1. I highly recommend you trying to download the drivers if possible. Hardware issue would be the last step out of all this.

Can you show me a screen of your device manager? Strictly the device manager only and you are welcome to blur unwanted information.
    BElieve in YOUrself.
