I have been in contact with Acer and Amazon to get a reasonable resolution and todate i have been redirected  untill i cant even contact their chat anymore because the warranty expired.

The computer was bought via Amazon, when i got it there was a slight ink spill un till it got worst  . Amazon said to contact Acer, i went to a dealer in Jamaica who said i have to contact them online..  spoke to them online they say i cant be helped because im not in US or Canada , im in Jamaica, so sorry.  They send me back to Amazon, amazon send me back to Acer requesting a A Service Denial Letter. Acer promised the escalation team would contact me . Todate no call and the warranty now expires.

My last interaction with Acer was i would need to pay to repair the ink spill even if i get the PC to them as warranty do not cover physical damage. I DID NOT DAMAGE IT! that's how i got it.  So why do i have to pay... They again told me i would be contacted by ACEr regarding the Service Denial Letter, and all now.  All this redirecting seem to such a scam, because i was sent here again!
Is this a Scam ?

Simple: If you have conversations with Acer tech during your warranty period, they should be able to give you coverage for sure. That ink should not void or if it did not cause any physical damage to the hardware, they should cover it under warranty.

But let me ask you a question, why wouldn't you just return the laptop when you've noticed an ink spill in the first place. These little details caused distress and if you've not spilled it, you should return the material and even expect a compensation from the vendor for the delayed/damaged delivery. Perhaps a lesson learnt.

Edit: A mod might escalate this to Acer, I am unsure but if it is escalated, perhaps a solution might be found. Let's be optimistic.

I was uncertain how to proceed with the situation. Thats why i reached out to Amazon and Acer for advise. Initially seeing im in Jamaica, it was difficult  to send it back especially not sure what assistance i would be getting. Hence the investigation and the constant redirect

You're not to blame here. You should be able to get support from Acer or it is a litigation to sell the product in the country. You've on in Kingston a service center which might help.

You can Google Acer Service Jamaica or something and I am pretty sure you'll find results but as per my advice. I recommend waiting for a mod to handle the situation. In all things, a calm heart must prevail.

    Hi SirLee,

I'm sorry that you're having issues with your Acer computer.  Can you please send me a PM with the serial number (S/N) so I can look into this for you?

    Thanks,
