Hey Everyone

I have a problem with my F5 laptop screen which automatically decreases brightness whenever the content on the screen has a dark color. It's super annoying because everything become hardly visible so it really hurts my eyes. I know it doesn't have anything to do with the adaptive brightness setting in Power Plans since I've turned it off. The Only solution to this problem is to disable the Intel HD Graphics in Device Manager, restarting laptop and re-enabling it. But this works only temporarily and after sometime, the unnerving auto brightness comes back. Does anyone have a clue on this?

My Specs are:
Windows 10 version 1709
Intel HD Graphics 520
Nvidia GT 940mx
Intel Core i5 6200U

Right-click your desktop, or search in the start menu for Intel Graphics Control Panel. Under the power plan settings, there is a settings called Enhanced Power Saving Mode (Look at the '?' for the info) that dims the screen to save power. If it is enabled, disable it on all power plans. It is says it is disabled, enable it, save, disable it, and save. Repeat on all 3 power plans.

    Hopefully that should do it.

I assumed you update bios, and disable auto dim brightness in the power management via control panel (not windows 10 settings) but via control panel
if above is not the case,
do you have some type of acer software installed that has an option for display dimming? Check that.

Please check the current BIOS version and see if you have installed the latest one listed at Acer support website.

To check the BIOS version, type msinfo32 in the Windows search box and press Enter.

     Thanks for your help.
It says my BIOS version is 1.12 and my Embedded Controller version is 2.10.
Honestly I don't really understand these BIOS stuff and since updating it is a risky process, I've never tried to update anything in this section. Would you help me decide the appropriate update file to download from the the list? I'm not sure which one it is.

    Hi guys,
How I can get in BIOS on my LapTop Acer E5-575G-562T?
I have tried F2 and F 10 already, but it did not work.
    Desktop appears very fast.
Once I randomly pushed Ctrl F2 Esc so my keyboard stops typing (Rebooting helped).
What the buttons should I push?
    Thanks in advance,
    Svetlana
