i brought the laptop back in November last year and last month it started shutting off but only when I play CPU heavy games like the Witcher 3. After about 15 to 30 minutes it shuts off without warning. I have tried the battery reset a few times and I have updated all my drivers and bios. When I turn my laptop back on it turns on and off a few times then starts up fine aside from the clock being set to when it shut off.

    Hi,
You could try disconnecting the battery for 10-20 Mins but you should make sure that opening the laptop doesn't void the warranty by contacting Acer support in your region, most of the time it won't affect the warranty if you don't break anything but it's better to be safe by checking with Acer Support.
Open the back cover and disconnect the battery, leave it to rest for 10-20 Mins then reconnect it and close the back cover and see whether it fixes the problem.

Raven, what is the temperature of the CPU or GPU when you are playing games? Open up Acer predator sense if you have it installed. Leave it open while playing game, but check back to see the temperature before the computer shuts down again
