I just got this thing [Pred. Heli. 300: i7 77k; 16 Gb DDR4 SDRAM; GTX 1060, 6Gb] like -- the box still smells like fresh new-ness -- and while I should be feeling great and running all over kingdom come proclaiming the name of Acer as, "the best'ist in all the land," instead, I'm trying to figure out why my microphone isn't being recognized when I plug it into the 3.5mm jack... anyone out there have any idea of how to get this thing to know when it's hole is being felt up?

When I plug headset into 3.5mm on my Predator i get this little window asking me which type of 3.5mm "device" did i plug in. Since it's TRRS (or as people call it 4 pole 3.5) with stereo headset and mic it's the only option that's working for me (both headphones and mic). Try updating your sound card drivers.

Yeah, so I grew tired of having to always "okay" the fact that I'd just plugged in my headphones, and had zero clue that it would mean having to spend another 17 hours downloading each of my larger games from Steam (a few days worth of downloading) if I selected the "Remember my selection and do not show this dialogue next time" checkbox...

I don't understand why there's no way to get the box to reappear...
