E5-575g Not waking from sleep

Hello,
 I purchased two of these laptops about 6 months ago one for me and one for my wife. My laptop has been completely fine, had no issues. For some reason, since the day I purchased it my wife's laptop has not been able to wake from sleep mode properly. Whenever she closes the lid she has to force reboot the machine to get anything to happen again. This is on battery or on AC power. I have contacted acer support numerous time, no help. I've changed power settings, reset windows, reseated ram, changed registry flags per other forums advice and still nothing. I am completely at a loss and acer seems unwilling to provide support for the issue. Is there anything any of you can thing of that would be causing this?
