Weird sounds and random shut downs

Hi,
I got a Predator 2 weeks ago and I seem to have 2 issues that happen randomly so i cant recreate them at will.
One is that when on battery, it randomly shuts down. No freezing, or anything it just shuts down like desktops do when there is a power failure.
The other is, at random times, whenever I play any audio, there are weird sounds that come when the speakers are in use. I generally restart to fix this.
Do i need to send it for repair or are they something that I can fix?

Also I noticed that Predator sense shows the average temperature for light usage (when only a browser with 4-5 tabs open) at around 45-50 Degrees Celsius and upto80-85 Degrees when play Dota2. The sticky post said this is normal but if I have to send it for repair, should I ask for repasting too or is that just normal enough to not bother.

Thanks

  • It is likely if you send this in for repair, which is what I'd suggest, they will be replacing the whole motherboard and battery, so you wont know how good the pasting job is on the new board until you get it.

It is a bit like crackling noise. The only other similarity that I noticed when the sounds happened was that it was after multiple sleep/ wake up of the system instead of shut down.

The noise is similar but its not constant for me. For me it happens rarely, and even then only when I'm playing audio. The temperatures are normal(50-60 Celsius) and CPU load is 40-60%, no load on GPU. Normally even high load and temperatures don't cause the sound.
So I'm not sure if its a similar problem. Still, ill try to record it next time it happens.
