I have new chromebook only 3 days old. Yesterday i got critical update from google to chromebook and after that wifi turned very slooooow.
I can connect to open wifi and get IP:s and all stuff, but when i put address to web browser and start searching the side it hang up or freezes.
Everything works fine if i put wired connection via USB-C hub but vith wifi connection it is really slow or not work at all.

When you say the connection freezes, do you mean if the connection freezes and the output of the website is slow or the browser and the computer freezes m8?

Go a bit far from the router and access the internet, let me know if the distance fixes the issue. When you go afar you automatically connect using 2.4Ghz frequency.

Now what i have found that there is somekind problem with Cisco Accesspoint. We have Cisco controller based WLAN at work and this problem comes with Cisco AIR-AP1832I-E-K9 APs. We have also Cisco AIR-CAP1702I-E-K9 accesspoints and with these Chromebook works fine.

I tested chromebook at home where i have VSDL with wifi and there also wlan worked well, so there is something between that model Cisco AP and Acer CB5-312T model chromebook.

Makes absolute sense. Again, the answer is similar man, the router is probably emitting 5Ghz frequency and your machine is not picking that up. Did you approach your ISP in this regard?
