I recently updated to the latest major update of windows creator's fall update and I am facing too many bugs with this update, mouse lags, system crashes and much more. I have already reset my system it doesn't goes to the previous build, How do I go to the last version of windows. Or at least how do I go to the original state it came. As I have already preformed a reset I don't have any Previous version files. I really need some assistance. My model no is  G3-572 Acer Predator Helios 300.

    Hi Prakhar
While everyone expects a new version to be better than before, a small number of users have come across several problems with the experience, including issues with apps, performance issues, missing features, and bugs with the user interface.
If you wish to reset, click  Start, select All apps then Predator. Select Predator Recovery Management in the list of Predator apps. Select the Restore tab and click Get Started to Choose an option "Just remove my files".

Selecting "Remove files and clean the drive" will remove all of your personal files and accounts, along with pre-existing drivers that may affect your Windows installation.

Hey, Sharanji, Thanks for your assistance but that is not the problem that I am facing, I have already tried factory resetting the system removing all my personal files with it, But it simply does not Goes back to its previous build that my system came with, it was v-1703 that got released around September, The latest update simply does not support this system. After learning this the hard way I just wanna go back to the last build, but am unable to as I have lost the recovery option after the reset... I do not have any other recovery option as I have just purchased my system a month ago and did not create a recovery drive or something. All the restore points got deleted after the reset. Now I am stuck with this latest build, that my system does not support. I am not sure what to do anymore. Acer does not have any driver build for this new update, so the system is having so many bugs.

Other than that, the reset option was given to me by someone in the acer service center, Whom I called regarding this issue, they told me to perform resetting and that would solve this issue of bugs, But for now it has only created me more problems as I lost all my restore points.

I am really a rookie in this sector, and don't really know too much around these scenarios...

Please find me a way out of this... Assistance really appreciated. Thanks...

If you do not have the previous installation files, the only way to get back to build 1703 is to completely reformat the pc with the Windows image. However, doing so will break Predator Sense as it requires the custom Windows from Acer. The system recovery is not a whole version of Windows, it simply contains Acer's specialty files/settings.

So, in all honesty, you are pretty much stuck on 1709 unless you want to lose PredatorSense and Acer's Recovery.

Also, have you taken a look here to see if any of the FPS drop options helps?

So it seems like if acer creates an Update for the BIOS or the Windows the issue can be resolved right? And can the reformatting with Windows image be done on the existing copy of windows or will I have to purchase a new copy for that?

    Thanks for the help though!!

Well simply the lag is caused from the interaction between Intel's Graphics, NVIDIA graphics, and Windows. It is likely it will require Intel (as the primary graphics controller) or Windows to fix. So really, Acer is not responsible for it.

For Windows, you can download the ISO image file from the web, and it will activate automatically because the activation key is stored in the motherboard.

I am not sure what you mean about Acer releasing an update, but it is not their fault, but the software companies (software being incompatible with each other). And as I said previously, if you install a clean Windows, you will no longer be able to use PredatorSense to overclock or control speed fan, and there is no other way to get it working either.

If it is really that troublesome (the lag, after trying to solve the issues otherwise), your best bet is to contact Acer, which they will likely require you to send the laptop in for repair. They will completely wipe your internal SSD and re-image it with their version of Windows which can take a week+.

Another thing I can suggest is joining Windows Insider Preview (Slow Ring), where they do trials for the next release of Windows (I believe it is coming in March. The slow ring is very stable, and it gives you a month to restore the previous version.). I do not use 1709.16299 (I am on 1708.17074) and I never experience these problems. You can begin by going to Settings > Update > Windows Insider Preview.
