have a five day old Switch 5, when we got it the touchpad would make an audible click when selecting the lower left and right corners of the touchpad, it once stopped working unable to use the corners to left/right click, but it mysteriously came good after a bit of fiddling, we thought the buttons on the pen had it locked out maybe. It has now done it again and no efforts are able to get the left/right lower corner mouse clicks to work, touch pad tap and hold works. Even disconnecting from the switch 5 tablet screen has no effect. Have we accidentally locked the clicks somehow or do I have a fault Switch 5 keyboard?

Press the touchpad down, or lightly tap the touchpad with your finger, to perform a 'click', which will select or start an item. Quickly repeat the tap to perform a double tap or 'double click'.

To change the touchpad settings to suit your personal requirements, please do the following. 1.In the icon tray in the lower right-hand corner of the screen, select the Notifications icon to open the Notifications pane. Select All settings. Select Devices > Mouse & touchpad.

Thanks, but no good, the physical "click" in the lower left/right corners is not happening, and an unusual amount of pressure is required to perform a left or right click function with no associated physical "click". As mentioned the touchpad gestures work, just not the touchpad lower left/right corner physical click functions. have tried any/all software options to no avail. How is it a five day old item with little to no use can fail :(
