Does the Razer Game Booster work?

I have a Razer G9-591 (with 970M) and will Razer Game Booster provide an FPS boost with titles such as TW: Warhammer 2? Additionally, what are your Global Settings in the nVidia Control Panel? I set mine to "Prefer maximum performance" in the Power Management Mode and turned "On" Trilinear optimization in Texture Filtering and I did notice a slight, albeit noticeable, performance and FPS increase in some of the more demanding games. I am curious how others here (with a similar setup as mine) tweaked the global settings of their nVidia cards.

Thanks!

Typically, it is considered that Game Boosters will not drastically (if at all) increase game performance. Simply because it is another program that your PC must run while playing your games. Only option it to try is out and see.

I have listed here under section 3 my preferred game settings.
    • Do take note that I use VSync which caps the FPS to 60 (screen refresh rate, any higher cannot be seen). Most games run perfect with VSync and few have trouble with it (FPS drops, can look at my linked post for that as well). I set the GPU power management Settings to Adaptive so it uses power based on the situation: a lot when gaming, and less on battery.
    • As for the Trilinear feature, it can slightly improve performance, at the slight cost of picture quality. Unless you are having low FPS (40 or below when plugged in), there isn't a need to mess with this setting.
