Improving Screen Display for Movies, TV, Games?

Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased an Aspire E 15 E5-576G-5762. The one complaint I saw about the system was that its screen brightness was far below that found in other laptops. Due to all its other features and price point, I decided to go for it anyways.

In general it is great, I can see things just fine, but I'm using it with the brightness turned up to maximum. When it comes to a movie with darker shades - e.g. scenes occurring at night, underground, underwater - things are a bit darker than I'd like.

I'm wondering if folks have found settings to improve the brightness when watching video?

It won't help much but you can always prefer "optimise video quality" in multimedia settings -> when playing a video, in your power plan.
