Struggling a Little with the Acer Touchpad?

Hi Everyone,
I recently purchased an Acer E 15 E5-576G-5762. Overall, I really like it. The one thing that I'm having a hard time getting used to is the touchpad. I've been using laptops for nearly two decades and all varieties of touchpads, but this one is throwing me for a bit of a loop.

For example:
- I'm frequently not pressing far enough to the left to left click and similarly not far enough to the right to right click.
- I regularly accidentally zoom in/out without intending to.
- I sometimes trigger multi-gestures accidentally.

A small, perhaps relevant, sidenote - I'm left-handed. It seems the laptop itself is right-handed dominant in design (e.g. the touchpad is positioned near the left side to be used by the non-dominant left hand)...I hadn't noticed this design in previous laptops (though looking at my old one, it appears to have been there, perhaps slightly less pronounced).

With all that preamble, here are my questions:

- Does anyone else struggle (or struggled and have overcome) the touchpad issues I am describing?
- Are there settings I should be adjusting to mitigate these issues?

Thanks!
Dave
