I have an Acer Chromebook 15 (C83-531). I've been having this issue for quite awhile now. On the screen it shows whatever page I'm on in the middle of the screen. The left and right sides of that only show white. I've tried the Display, assorted ways, tried ideas, etc.. I hope someone can help me, I just want a whole normal screen!! Thanks in advance for any know-how!!

     Hi,

Sounds like a hardware issue. The display itself going. Try this...

    1. Turn the Chromebook completely Off
    2. Connect an external monitor to the laptop.
    3. Turn on the external monitor.
    4. Turn on the Chromebook.

NOTE: You may have to press an "external monitor" button. Could be the f4 button or a button with two monitors on it, for the external monitor to work.

If you can see fine on the external monitor, then your attached display, or the ribbon cable that connects it, are your problem.
