my laptop got stuck a week before .. so i had to force restart it and still remains the same. Then after doing it thrice , windows went into recovery mode and i used reset to install windows again. Luckily it worked . Yesterday i got the same problem so i again used reset to install windows but this time it got stuck while installing the windows. So my laptop became completely sunresponsive . This time even recovery didn't showed up. What could be the problem? is it with my os or My ssd? will installing ubuntu helps?

    Hi Sujeeth,

First perform a power reset :
Unplug AC power adapter. Locate the battery reset pinhole on the bottom of the computer.
Insert a small paperclip in the battery reset pinhole. Hold the reset button for 4 seconds.
Let the computer sit for 5 minutes with no power.Connect the AC adapter and power on the system

If the recovery fails, try the steps in the followinf weblink
    https://us.answers.acer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/34866

If issue still persists, try to reset BIOS to default settings, Also, please reset the memory modules and hard disk cables.

If the device is in warranty, contact Acer support in your region and send in the device for service.

Let us know the status for further assistance.

I think this is possibly a hard disk issue as well. Why don't you flash your hard disk using your OS DVD and that might fix the bad partition issue. Perhaps boot the computer with an external hard disk as the primary source with Windows or Ubuntu installed and that will tell us the answer.

Cheers man! Good luck as well.

Did you try changing the boot source? I mean, you need to make sure that the boot source is the USB not your HDD which is possibly troublesome?

BTW that "three restarts and recovery" is the same as an alt-F10 boot. Might also use an F2 boot to go into the BIOS and check the hardware out.
