A Gateway desktop computer with S/N: DTGDDAA004227039979200 has somehow deactivated the MS Office 2010 Starter Edition that came preinstalled after I had to repair the Windows Update components to resolve a "stuck" update. The computer is out of warranty, so support won't help me and AnswersBy says they can't help me. Microsoft was unable to help as well. Is there any way someone at Acer can look up the product key so I can reactivate?

Hi Dfriezen, there are only two things you can do in this circumstance with Office Starter....

    Repair Office Starter
    Uninstall and reinstall Office Starter

Try the steps in this weblink to restore Microsoft office starter.

Thank you for your prompt response. I followed the steps in the link you sent but am still having activation issues as it is still asking for the Product Key and I can't find it. This is an old PC. It will likely be replaced soon. If not, I will purchase a current MS Office 2016 product and install it.
