Could you please confirm which cable you are trying to connect or the type of the connector on the motherboard?

Check for a marking on the socket from the front panel

Like the orientation and what certain 2 pins it plugs into for it to work

Hi, please check for a white arrow mark on the socket that comes from the front panel. You should plug it in on the motherboard with the arrow mark pointing towards the power supply socket

What do you mean? I mean like where exact pins do the power, hdd led, and restart cables go in

You use this weblink for reference, however, it doesn't seem accurate.

    https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005643/boards-and-kits/desktop-boards.html

Look closely at the front panel header on the motherboard.
There may be text to identify the pins.
If not, start with the pwr switch.

Insert it into likely pairs of pins until the motherboard starts up.
PWR_SW is not polarity sensitive. No harm will come if you pick the wrong pairs.
No others are really that important.

The led pins for hdd and pwr are polarity sensitive. If you have them reversed, the led simply will not light.
