I have an Acer Aspire v5-573G with Windows 7 64bit (with NVIDIA geforce GT750M) (Bios version V2.25)

I have received a small old TV as a present and I want to use it a second screen, for some reason the TV keeps showing no signal, I think there are some drivers missing.

Now I'll give you all the data I know:

- I have tried the TV with a friends PC and it works with the same HDMI cable (so TV and cable cannot be the problem)
- I have installed / unistalled / reinstalled (process repeated twice) the manufacturers drivers which are:
> Nvidia GeForce Game Ready Driver (downloaded from the Nvidia site after filling in my graphic driver details)
> Intel Graphics driver (downloaded using the "Intel driver and support assistant")
- I have tried accessing the BIOS but there is no trace of HDMI settings there
- I downloaded Easydriver and all the drivers relevant to the graphics and monitors are up to date
- If I open the device manager under the keyword "display adapters" I only have the INTEL(R) HD Graphics Family and the NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M, there is no HDMI driver (I write this as different sites gave a solution that was to update this particular HDMI driver which I don't have)

One thing I haven't done, simply because I haven't got the right cable is to connect the TV via VGA, but honestly I don't think it would work either...

I will give a golden medal to whoever manages to help me connect my laptop to the screen!

Thanks

I am having the same exact issue. I can hook up a HDMI cable and I can see the display up on my TV just fine, however if I were to press Windows+P I would not be able to duplicate the screen. Also I did have no issues before some updates. I also tried to update my AMD Radeon graphics card too and then I got a HDMI output not plugged in as well as I do not even see HDMI hooked up as output. All I see is VGA.
