I have the Acer Predator G9-791 laptop.  For certain program, I wanted to make sure it is using only the Nvidia graphics.  I press the Predator Sense hotkey to always use discrete graphics, but I noticed after pressing that it still appears to use the Intel card for certain programs.  The way I know this is because I look at the programs that the Nvidia card is using and it doesn't always show the program I'm opening.  I also notice in Windows task manager that the Intel graphics is being utilized.  I was wondering what the always use discrete graphics hotkey actually does if it doesn't disable the Intel graphics?

You can try setting the power mode to best performance. Also you can go to nvidia control panel -> 3d settings and choosing high performance nvidia as preferred graphics processor. This way it may work.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
