Software Update for B3-A20 not possible

I tried to update my tablet, but somehow it doesn't work at all. There are no automatic updates and it doesn't gives me an option in the settings to do it manually. I assume my OS is corrupt?!

    how did you try to update your tablet?
    if automatic updates is not giving any update, that means no update is available from Acer.
    to do an update manually, you need to have an official update zip file and start the update from recovery.

    Hi, thanks for the prompt reply. Where can I get the update.zip from. All I could find is an OS image (AV0L0.B3-A20.RV03RC06.WW.GEN1) in the support section. Unfortunately, I've got no idea how to flash it. Even the recovery menu is in Asian letters.

    first check your actual version:
    settings/about tablet - build version or image version

    probably your tablet already has the latest version

    Yes, indeed. You are correct! The image versions are identical. That might explain it. However, I'm just curious if I can get security updates as this version is over 3years old by now.

    if the update is not released by Acer and authorized by Google, you can't manually add a security patch.

    Is it possible to run a newer Android os on my B3-A20? It is running lollipop 5.1. I had an app installed that told me to update my os as what I am running is no longer supported.
